A relaxed record lounge, a generous Tajimi-tile hinoki bath, and bright engawas on both levels create spaces that invite guests to slow down and settle in. With a dining space that feels both elegant and at ease, three peaceful tatami bedrooms, a well-appointed kitchen, and detailed hand-carved woodwork throughout, our guests experience a Japanese home with layers of traditional craftsmanship coupled with contemporary amenities.
After several years of delighting guests at our mid-century traditional Japanese home in Ito, we were inspired to bring this beautiful, spacious home back to life in the the Nishiyamacho area of Atami, just up the hill from the peaceful and awe-inspiring Kinomiya Shrine.
